Jigs and fixtures

I invented this to hold a standard microscope slide and located it on various machines. The company I invented it for took out a patent on it.

I designed this fixture to hold locate and cool a 1.5mm laser chip and direct the laser beam through a 2mm lens into a fiber optic cable.

This is some work I did for Videojet on their thin-foil project. When I joined the development team, as a model maker, to make the jigs and fixtures, they were stuck. They were reducing the thickness of the foil, that the 50 micron holes are drilled in from 100 to 80 microns. On my own, I designed fixtures to hold the foil for drilling and welding the foil and developed the lapping machine to increase the quality of the foil to pass inspection from around 40% to 100%.
